ENTHUZA CAR

V8 miata system

Finally got around to taking a couple of photos of the exhaust system for the V8 roadsters LS engine Swap.  NA body,  2.5"  stainless steel system with Magnaflow muffler.  This one is going on a car with about 400 hp. Sounds like fun to me.

Y pipe construction

Here is a Y pipe all welded up ready to cut to the appropriate inlet size.

After the layout die dries, it goes to the surface plate to get marked for the cut.  This one is for a 3" system so it gets cut so the opening is about 3.40" across to make up for the ovalizing mating 3" tube.   Fitment is critical for nice even welds.

After the cut is made I clean up the face of the saw cut and inside of the tubing to get rid of the metal dust from the cutting operation.

NC Single

NB 3" dual

Just Finished a new exhaust system for the NB cars.  This will be the best flow path of any dual exhaust for the NB miata.  The 3" midpipe mates to the BEGi downpipe then turns toward the Center of the car eliminating the 150 degree bend to make the transition to the dual mufflers.    Each muffler handles 1/2 of the flow in an incredibly balanced system.    It sounds badass!

3" NC MX-5 turbo exhaust

Well, I finished the 3" muffler section to mate to BEGi's new turbo kit for the NC miata.  It has a 3" inlet pipe which I ovalized to match the two inlets into the 2.5" core mufflers.   Begi made 249 hp with a 2.5" system.  I'm excited to see how much improvement is available with the full 3" midpipe and muffler.   The difference between 2.5" and 3" may not sound like much but it is a 44% increase in cross sectional area.
